Fresh Living!

How to Live Happy, Healthy and Most Importantly, FRESH!

For my family, like many, Thanksgiving is a day of time honored traditions. Turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, and football. As I watched the Dallas Cowboy’s football game with my family this weekend I was struck by one thing in particular — Candice Crawford Romo. It’s hard not to notice the stunningly beautiful wife of Cowboy’s quarterback Tony Romo. And for many women, it’s hard not to feel a little envious. I want to look like that! Don’t we all?

But since I wasn’t born with the same DNA as the beautiful former Miss Missouri, a few things would have to happen for me to look just like her:

  • I would need to travel back in time about 15 years
  • I would have to grow several inches taller
  • I would need extensive plastic surgery. Even if I all that were possible, it would leave me unrecognizable to my family and friends.

So, instead of trying to be Candice Romo, I’d prefer to be the happiest, healthiest, prettiest version of Candace Thrash that I can be. That’s the reason I founded Fresh, to help my patients and myself be the best version of themselves at any age. For me that means driving less, exercising more, and using really great skin care products every day. For you that could mean having a dangerous mole removed, getting treatment for a stubborn rash, or adding a little volume back to what was once a full lip. It’s not about being something you’re not, it’s about loving who you are.

I hope you will find the Fresh blog a great source of information on how to look and feel your best at any age. Look for a series of posts in the weeks ahead focused on starting 2014 with a clean slate. You can find the blog on our website at http://freshdermatology.com/, liking us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/FreshDermatology, or following us on Twitter @FreshDerm.

Until then, bring on December! Here’s to making feeling great about who you are a new holiday tradition!
