Fall Planning Guide

Don’t you just love the fall? A time of fresh starts. School is back in session, but things start to accelerate going into October. And after Halloween, the rest of the year goes in the blink of an eye.

Below are a few things to consider as you look ahead to the last few months of the year:

From family holiday photos, to specials events, planning ahead is your best bet for looking your best.

Follow this guide to avoid any last minute disasters:

Revitalash (grows lashes longer, thicker and darker): 6 weeks before

Botox or Filler: 4-6 weeks before

Chemical Peel: 2-3 weeks before

Cut and Highlight: 2 weeks before

Tensage (serum supercharges skin): 1 week before

MicroPeel: 3-5 days before

Eyebrow shaping: 3-5 days before

Manicure & Pedicure: 1 day before

Skin Exam

The American Academy of Dermatology recommends a full body skin exam once a year for all adults. Twice a year is recommended if you’ve had a previous skin cancer. If it’s been too long since your last mole check, now is a good time to schedule this.

If you were advised to have a mole removed earlier in the year but put it off due to an unmet deductible, it might be a good time to check in with your insurance. Once your deductible is fulfilled, it is wise to take advantage of the insurance benefits to which you are entitled.

Nail Fungus

No one likes to admit it, but toe nail fungus is an extremely common problem. While most people seek treatment in the spring and summer, now is actually the best time to treat it. The nail plate, especially the big toe, can take 12-18 months to grow out, so treating it now is your best chance for being flip-flop ready for the summer. The good news? There are several new prescription medications on the market which make this difficult problem easier to treat.

As bikini bottoms move over to make way for skinny jeans, leggings, and (good grief) “jeggings”, you’ll want to keep your hips, thighs, and tummy firm.

Thermage® has been successfully used to tighten and firm the buttocks (and other areas of the body), while temporarily improving cellulite.

Ideal candidates range in age from 30 to 60. Thermage® body treatments are effective for people of all skin types and skin tones. Although the results of a Thermage® treatment tend to unfold over a period of months, improvements in skin tightness and tone can be seen immediately, and last for up to 2 years.
